Signs and Symptoms of Pregnancy
Pregnancy can produce many signs and symptoms for some women and almost none for others. Other times symptoms are sometimes mistaken for other conditions. That’s why getting your pregnancy confirmed with medical professionals is important. Then, you can begin organizing your thoughts and planning your next step.
Some early signs and symptoms of pregnancy can be:
- Missed period
- Sore or tender breasts
- Fatigue
- Increased urinating
- Nausea/vomiting
Many of these symptoms can dissipate and do not always last throughout the entirety of the pregnancy. We are here to help you understand if you are experiencing pregnancy symptoms, and can confirm pregnancy during a free, confidential appointment.
How Is Pregnancy Confirmed?
Pregnancy is confirmed with the use of a laboratory-grade pregnancy test and ultrasound imaging. Even if you took a pregnancy test at home, it’s still important to retest in a qualified medical facility. Sometimes home pregnancy tests can give false results based on a faulty test, testing diluted urine, testing too soon, and user errors. By testing at our facility, false results are minimized as trained staff will administer tests and walk you through the steps.
Are Pregnancy Tests and Ultrasounds Free?
An ultrasound is used after a positive pregnancy test to verify the viability and location of the pregnancy. Sometimes, not usually due to anything you’ve done, a miscarriage can occur, or an ectopic pregnancy is present. These pregnancies can be life-threatening and require immediate medical intervention.
Yes, all appointments and services including pregnancy testing and ultrasound imaging are free and confidential. If you would feel more comfortable bringing someone you trust as support, we encourage you to do so.

*Considered the earliest that moms begin to feel the baby's movement. Do not be surprised if you do not notice it for a few days, even a couple of weeks.
**Recognized as the earliest reasonable time to identify the baby's gender through a sonogram. This is dependent on the positioning of the baby and the view of the ultrasound.
